Daren

Daren was the founder of Movex.co.uk a trade only vehicle logistics platform that transported vehicles from

A to B.

Started from his kitchen in 2012, in 2015 with an EBITDA of just £30k he completed an acquisition selling 55% of the company for
£2m to the largest car auction company in the world.

By the end of 2019 Movex employed 40 staff and moved over 600 vehicles per day, achieving a
£12m turnover with a EBITDA of £3m. Daren sold his remaining 45% of the company at the end of 2019 for a further £5m giving him a total payout of £7m.


September 2016 Daren purchased and developed a site of an old pub into 4 new properties in Chelmsford called 'The Keys' The development consisted of applying for full planning to covert the existing pub into 2 properties with an extension at the end, and a detached property to the rear of the site. All 4 properties where sold returning a gross profit of £535,000


May 2019 he purchased a portfolio of 11 HMO properties in Warrington for £2.1m thereafter spent £100,000 on renovation, generating a gross rental income of £312,000 p/a.


November 2020 he purchased a block of 29 flats derelict and vandalised for £530,000 spent a further £710,000 on refurbishment, thereafter in September 2021 completed a sale of £1,875,000 returning a profit of £635,000
